Book Selling Policies
The Reconstructionist Press does not regularly refund orders; however, in certain circumstances, we will accept returns of items that are still in new condition and are returned to us within 30 days of the original purchase. There is a 20% re-stocking fee in these instances, so customers will be refunded 80% of the price of the items purchased. Shipping charges are not refundable. The Reconstructionist Press is a Jewish bookseller: Please note that we close early on Friday afternoons in observance of Shabbat, so if you have an immediate need, please contact us before Friday afternoon. Shabbat may affect your shipping and processing time. We are also closed for many Jewish holidays. If you place your order on a holiday, it may take an extra day or two to process your purchase and ship your items. Since several of our books are important for Jewish holidays, we always ship those orders ASAP when orders are placed close to a holiday. Know that we take the utmost care in making sure that you have the books you need by the holiday. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Prices for Reconstructing Judaism Affiliates: Communities affiliated with Reconstructing Judaism receive discounts, depending on their affiliation status. Published Price Change: If the Reconstructionist Press publishes a change in price to an item, the Reconstructionist Press will honor a price adjustment request for that item within 30 calendar days from the shipped date or, for in-person purchases, within 30 calendar days from the in-person purchase date. If the price adjustment is due to a temporary sale, this policy will cease to apply upon the termination of the sale period.
Shipping & Handling Policy: We ship via UPS, Fedex and USPS. Your shipping cost will be calculated on your invoice before you check out. Shipping costs vary depending on the weight of the items you purchase and the distance they have to travel. Tracking Your Order: For most individual orders, tracking will not be available. If you are ordering a large quantity of books and wish to receive a tracking number, please contact email@example.com.
Order Processing: We will process and ship your order in 1-3 business days. Domestic shipping can take 3-10 business days. All of our orders ship from the Philadelphia area. If you are ordering from outside of the US, please expect a longer shipping time than for domestic orders.
International Shipping: We ship international orders via USPS or Fedex.
Sales Tax: Please note that a 6% sales tax will be added to all sales shipped to Pennsylvania addresses. If you are ordering on behalf of a Pennsylvania-based tax-exempt organization, please place your order by phone (215.576.0800 ext. 233) or email firstname.lastname@example.org. You will be asked to provide documentation of your tax-exempt status.
